Hani חאני Esther Indictor Portner uses they/them pronouns and is a Queer, Disabled, Transgender, Jewish, Flamboyant artist, educator, historian, tour guide and witch. Before the pandemic they were performing multiple times a month in drag at various bars and clubs and hosted their own shows!

Now they create Covid concious art, history and nature events for community to come together to speak and make art about important topics and issues. In their work of creating gardens with mushrooms and plants in places of forgotten Jewish joy, they carry on the story of their people while creating memorials that will grow, change and develop for years to come.

In the guided tours they lead throughout the seasons, Hani teaches accessible classes in foraging for the fairy minded and encourages the celebration of connection with the massive web of life and wisdom underneath our feet. They aim to connect fellow humans with the land they live on to better protect the environment and create bridges of love with our more than human neighbors all around us.

You can find Hani painting and writing at their pink desk, exploring various libraries and archives, or chilling in a hammock in the sun catolouging their mushroom harvest.
