🏳️🌈Wednesday September 18 in Potsdam from 10-16 with the theme “it takes a village -intersectional democracy promotion in rural areas
🦚Incredible speakers and discussions are planned for the morning and conclusion, and then there are workshops in the afternoon.
🎨At 13 I am facilitating Workshop number 3: “Art, Nature and Jewish History!”
🌱Join Hani חאני Esther Indictor Portner (they/them or no pronouns) on a walk where we will explore the trees, the mushrooms, the Heiligen See, and discuss local queer Jewish history through figures such as Gad Beck and the activities of the Jewish resistance group Chug Chaluzi, which made forays into the surrounding forests.
Once back at the venue, we will experiment with oil pastels and colored pencils to draw how we felt during our outdoor adventure and learn how to add artistic, local history and nature-related processing elements to events. Workshop participants will take home ideas for implementing this format in their settings by sharing with other participants and supporting and encouraging each other, because everyone can be an artist and teach art!

☕Registration is free for the whole event, and includes coffee and catered vegetarian /vegan lunch.
